V6 essex. The wild one

Post by Leon » Sat 18 Mar 2017, 10:50

Hi guys

I have standing here at home a 3l essex.

Specks as far as i can see are as follows.

450cfm 4brl holley
Ported heads with combustion chamber machined in, not sure if over size valves.
Flat top pistons
276 deg cam i think.
Wedge oil cooler with external cooler
Branches
5speed alfa gearbog with propshaft, clutch still intact
Motor starts and runs like a charm.
I have rebuilt the carb as it was leaking petrol.

It is a capri motor and it came out of an escort that i baught n sold again.

I have this motor and i have no idea what its realy wourth.

Maybe someone could give me an idea and if anybody is interested send me a pm.

Thanx

Regards

Leon

I have seen them online for R6500, but then you still need to overhaul and sort them to the standard yours is.
