Hi

I got to see the 560SEC on monday, and turns out my dad already bought it....
The shape of the car looks really nice, but I was abit dissappointed when I saw
the interior, theres so much to do, but I hope we get it sorted out soon.

On the other hand, the Performance of this car will suprise you ! The mechanics of
the car are solid.

Theres sunroof problems, the seats sink in, the carpets are coming off, the shocks need
replacing, the tires need to be changed, dashbord is cracked, rev metre doesnt function,
the ignition is broken so I have to use a screwdriver, the rubbers around the car need to
be changed its all cracked...Body needs a repray.

Overall I like it alot...I hope I can find parts to restore it properly.

What do you need for inerior?

I need an ignition system, cruise control steering mechanism, rear window switch, sunroof mechanism,
front seats, seat plastic mouldings... other small bits and pieces...

I'll let you know what progress I make, but I just want to say that the car is alot of fun to drive.

Watch out for that floppy cruise control switch. Several times I had my 420SE go full trottle and stay there while trying to set cruise. Great fun, and not a problem if you expect it (just go to Cancel, or touch the break), scary if you aren't.

By the way if you want to take the dash gauges out, don't bother looking for screws or clips. It is just a push fit. If you grab the binacle both sides and pull hard it should just come out. If it is tight you may need to make some wire hooks. If you get to that stage ask and I will find sone pics.
