 Post subject: Need advice for GT tyres/ rims

Hi, I have to finally change tyres on my Fairmont GT. Have 235/ 60/ 14 at present with original rims/ chrome caps. It seems the original rims are too narrow for 235 width. One supplier has suggested a 14" mag rim on a 205/ 70 tyre (foreign brand). very reluctant to change original chrome caps for mag rim.

What can any of you suggest as a good performance tyre that is also comfortable for regular driving?

Hi Ahmed

I have 17" TSW Apex rims on my XW Fairmont GT , I will get some pics this weekend and post them.
I had to make up some quite radical whell adaptor to fit tho . :!:
