New here
Shaughn is the name

In the process of sorting out my first REAL muscle car, i am haggling to get a Granada V8 , Basil Green car.
Will post pictures if all goes well and if it really is a Basil Green car as it is being stated.

Welcome Shaughn,

I would recommend that you post the pics and details here before you buy it...there was an '80s Granada that someone posted here thinking it was a BG car because it had a V8 and had "BG..." as part of the VIN, but was far from being the real thing and the guy would've gotten burnt had he not posted it here to be identified first.

Hopefully the one you're after is the real thing...there are some proper Perana gurus here on the forum who will be able to tell you for sure..

If it is a MK1 with a properly sorted professional 302 conversion, add 15 to 20% over the going rate for a V6 Mk1.

If it is a MK1 with an average DIY 302 conversion, about the same as a V6 Mk1.

If it is a MK1 with a rough 302 conversion, remove 20% to 50% under the going rate for a V6 Mk1.

if it a verifiable genuine BG Perana, in excellent condition, double or more the the going rate for a V6 Mk1.

My guess that the going rate for a good V6 Mk1 is somewhere around R80K - R95K. What do you ZA locals think?

A really good Mk1 V6 probably R60k, a really good BG car, perhaps R110k.
Alfa GTV 3.0
Ford Capri Perana V8
Chevy Lumina Supercharged

Wait not for tomorrow to do what can be done today, live each day for one knows not what the next day may hold.
