The 6 cylinder class in oval track is steel body only and for CHD it has to be a matching engine as well.

The right thing is to move the door post back about 6 inches and then lengthen the front doors using a section of the rear doors and fill the rear gap with two donor rear doors ... I would do it ...

The info i am battling to find is the correct final door size, and the distance to move the post.

when I worked at Ford and watched Bernie Mariner build the first Cortina bakkie prototype he used the Cortina 2 door station wagon and made no change to the front post! :mrgreen: To move the front post will be a structural disaster!! 8O

My suggestion to you is to search for a 2 door Cortina wagon to retain the correct chassis and just modify the rear end! If you really need to!! :mrgreen:
