OK, now are these the same limited 1100sxz ones? I do remember one here in PE that was Black with the gold pin striping. Also different cams etc?? I think they only ever got that one to sell :(

Hi 333

My Katana is the gsx1100sz , but from what I have seen on the internet in the past is that there was a special model designated gsx1100sxz.

From what I have read it was a model available in limited numbers in New Zealand and a few came to SA . The biggest visual difference was wire spoke wheels with the other differences being a better set of carbs, exhaust, racing cams and clutch etc.... the usual go faster stuff.

I also read that there was one in the Castrol 6 hour race in 1982.

The wire rims compliment the bike a lot, I think.

As far as I can remember the wire wheel ones was called a Katana 1000 striker. Does this ring a bell?

I thought why not buy a CNC someone might want to have some custom parts made and Ive got a few $$$$$$ spare    but dont worry Graeme it definately wasnt the one in the basement but I did end up buying two other cars strange thing is that when I was loading the CNC machine one of the boilermakers rolled up with a mint GT ....... needless to say what happened ;)

As I said to SixPak if I had more time we could have got together for a beer or two
