Any advise on how to solve my problem of doors not closing and T Top not fitting now that we have fitted the new rubber seals?

Have fitted (after repainting) new weather strips and seals all round, they are the correct one's but find that they are to thick.

Is there something I can put on the rubber to soffen them prehaps?

In general new rubbers will take time to seat nicely.It will take alot of opening and closing of the doors
to get them to fit.All I know about ordering rubbers is you get three differnent grades being all original
but cheaper in price depending what type you want.In my catalogues you can order three types of
the same rubber (ie door rubber) but you have the option of quality and fit.
Thats all I know otherwise not sure how to downsize them.
