I need to take the speedo out and test, it might be repairable!

Have started on the Speedo conversion. Will complete build on the new before shelving the current unit in one piece
Tachometer fits perfectly!!
Busy identifying each connection. The new unit has a separate earth connection for each gauge and light function!
The new unit will fit without having to cut or drill into dash! Going to take some time and planning!!

Instrument panel has been completed Now need to design the adapting frame that will hold the panel and the switches straight from the original panel! Minimal wiring changes! Using 6 ply marine wood!

Hope this another improvement! Have made the adaptor, needs to be finished off! Will fit on the exact fitting holes as the original speedo!! No Holes to be drilled!!! Adaptor will be sprayed To a suitable color!!VetteGP wrote:That is looking good Johann.

My Rekord has a 3.67 diff

Surface prepared with Spot Putty and sanded! To be sprayed tomorrow!
Connectors fitted and each wire identified fit Pins to upper end of spacer and two locating holes at bottom edge!
