Love it!
Seems to be a great car with all the bells and whistles, been looking at them myself.

Electronics seem to be a bit of a hasle, seems be.

Looking forward to your feedback on the longer run.

Enjoy!
Greetings
André

Very nice cars. I see them regularly "sluiping" around.
Always liked a jag.

My friend has the previous model XJR. Electronics issues all came down to bad body earth points. Once those were properly cleaned, issues went away.

I know very well that my Jaguar is miles and miles behind the quality and company of a Bentley. Indeed

the two cars cannot be mentioned in the same discussion.

In January 2017 edition of Car magazine on page 12 is a photo of the new

Bentley Continental.

Similarity in the exterior design of the said Bentley and that of the Jag XF cannot be overlooked. Even

the grill seems to be designed by the same person.

Is the designing team of the two different cars maybe the same? Or are they just good friends?

I was worried that I will not be able to post on this fancy new website but I have to say it looks fresh and is user friendly.

The aforesaid may sound foreign to most members but please remember that many older people are computer illiterate, like me. But, this new

look and design works very well. Thanks.

Just a little bit of feedback on my XF.

I have now covered about 6,000km with it and I am very happy. No problems at all. Front screen had signs at the sides of delaminating

and irrespective of the car being nearly 9 years old Jaguar replaced it at no cost. I took the XF to Jaguar Stellenbosch (nearest agency to my home)

for the screen replacement and although way too early requested an oil change, brake fluid and coolant replacement. Service very effective and

not pricey at all.

I use my XF every day. The most outstanding feature is that V8 growl. Beautiful !! To be honest, in town/city driving I put the sound system off.Just

to be able to listen to the bass music and lyrics created by the 8 cylinders up front : I know it is childish for a grey haired chap to act like

that ,but to be honest, I don't give a damn. I never thought the day would arrive when I would be able to drive with a V8 every day !

I have to conclude this posting, my wife has just requested that I go buy bread and milk, so I am on my way. :)

Nice! I know the feeling well, similar experience with my Audi V8. Still miss that sound!

Hows the fuel consumption with town driving? I was getting 350kms on 60 litres in the Audi. V8 sound was getting expensive :(

Hi Scar

I do not measure consumption in town. Our traffic in the Cape is in any event so horrible I think even small engine cars

return bad consumption here. The N1 for instance is basically everyday a nightmare. But to be honest, I drive very carefully

and try to save fuel as far as possible. The Jaguar is on average not more thirsty than any of my BMW 525 series I had.

I saw one of these the other day, clearly had some aftermarket exhaust fitted because they definitely didn't leave the factory with an exhaust that loud, reminded me of a Mustang the way it sounded.
