My 73 Ford Ranchero!!

Post by Bazza » Wed 14 Jul 2010, 11:06

Hi Guys.

Just wanted to post pics of my 73 Ranchero. I love old V8'S and muscle cars and would not want to use anything else as a daily driver. I appologise in advance to all the purists out there, as I have done a few body alterations and there are a few more to come ie:

Shave Door Handels
Shaved the tail gate (need to fabricate a new back bumper to do the tail lights)
Moved the petrol cap to inside the "bak" (sure I will need to pay a little incentive at the road worthy station when the time comes)
Shrunk the front pumper and extended bottom of the front so as you can't see the front suspension.
Cut out the section behind the back seat and extended it out into ther bak (yes space for sound!, sorry purists)
Filled in the fender flickers for a cleaner line.
A shiny new paint job.

Let me know what you think. I don't mind if your comments are negative.

Regards

Bazza

Really like the colour!

My personal opinion is that you need the big beefy tires though. I dont feel that those thin ones suit it. Just my opinion though

I too agree those lo-pro/rubber band tires don't cut it either: maybe a similar style 16" of 17" wheel with bigger meats instead?

I do see your point. I still need to put the motor in so expect a significant drop (about 5 inches) and all that "air" between tyre and wheel arch will be filled. I guess I am going for that "lowrider" look. Whether it suits the ride or not, only time will tell. Good thing that is an easy problem to solve if it looks out of place.
