Johann, if you are interested, you can come visit me in Centurion and I'll cover your trim for you in vinyl for a matching / factory appearance.

Thanks for the offer!! :D I have re-thunk the design and have come up with this! No drilling in the dash required ;) Must decide on wood finish or vinyl! I am leaning towards the wood finish! If the finish is not good then I will go to vinyl!! :mrgreen:

Reduced down to 3 ply!! Stained to a darker wood. Will wait till tomorrow before coating with clear polyurethane. At least four coats! :mrgreen:

Almost there!! Need to find material with the right wood pattern! See the Kadett dash! :mrgreen:
The face fits very well!! :mrgreen:

The first fitting to the dash! If need be this facia will be used to make a Walnut facia. :mrgreen:

Made new facia! :mrgreen: Needed to improve The layout of the switches and buttons. Did not leave enough space to fit properly! 8O
Surface preparation was terrible!! Poor tint and sanding 8O Poor finish :?
Will leave to dry completely and see if it needs another coat! :mrgreen: Fitting instruments etc will keep to later! ;)
