Re: CAPRI PERANA - HELP!!!!!

Also, lots of aficionados refer the to the Perana Diff as a X.1B, this is not the case. it is a X.19. What I meant to say was, lots of aficionados refer the to the Perana Diff as a X.B1, this is not the case. it is a X.91. I also have one from a Australian XW Fairmont 302, with narrow gauge axel tu...

Re: CAPRI PERANA - HELP!!!!!

Hi PERANA MAN. The Falcon/Fairmont/Fairlane axels are all the same unless it came out of a GT with a 9". One side longer than the other to accomidate the BW off set head. All 25 spline until the later when the M78 series BW came out. They then went to 28 spline and slightly bigger CW and Pinion, so ...

Re: CAPRI PERANA - HELP!!!!!

Thank you all. You all have some interesting points. I agree, it is time we all put pen to paper and get ALL the info on BW diffs we can. I will do my best to have it simplified with the information I have and post it up by the end of the week. It will be interesting to document the casting numbers,...

Re: Capri Perana Bodies

From waht I understand, and the resesearch I have done, the South African bodies were different to those used in the UK and other countries. Have a look at the battery tray for a start. They are narrow in the SA body. All 3.0 shells in the UK have a shorter, wider battery tray, pushed futher forward...
