Re: Restomod or Original Restore

Restomod

Keep the body and interior stock, restoration, but upgrade the engine and drivetrain for better performance and safety. That only make the car more enjoyable.

Re: Needed : C6 gearbox for 351M/400 engine block

The Ford 351M/400 block has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the 429/460 so you can use a C6 from that application.

Re: Corvettes in SA

Here in the States, the C3 Vettes up to 1974 are very collectable. 1974 was the last year for the 454 V8. 1975-1982 are starting to appreciate but those will never reach the collectable status of the earlier cars due to the low-performance engines and the 'disco' era image (men with permed hair, unb...

Re: Dodge Challenger 1970 Dynacorn Body

Thing is though you need a chassis to make this whole idea work....pity someone doesn't make the chassis too... The Challenger/Cuda E-bodies don't have a chassis. These are unibody cars. The real problem is most MOPARs do not have as robust reproduction parts supply as Mustang and Camaro so finding...

Re: Identifying Holden V8 vs SBC

Easiest ways I know is: Holden has trapezoidal valve covers w/6 bolts, look like Ford 289/302W valve cover flipped bottom to top. Chevy has rectangular valve covers w/4bolts, look for the tale-tale oil leaking all over the heads. Holden has water pump that bolts to a front cover with several perimet...

Re: Gentlemen, is this true?

Gents, You can lock this thread if you need to, I don't want to open a can of worms. I live in the US and our news is HORRIBLE. We do not get good coverage of international news, just a lot of lies and misleading BS that is intended to stir up the population. So, when I read this article I could onl...

Saw this in the Daily Mail so thought I would ask for your take on it. I know it is possibly a very volatile subject but it comes across as very disturbing.

Many an English sports car lost, from E type, to triumph to many different models of MG's.

Very sad.
It's hard to lose your possessions but those are only that....

On the bright side, at least the oil leaks are now fixed on all those LFBCs. :D
