Re: MAZDA Rx-2

John, Jannie paid me a visit two weeks ago. I do not know all the detail but he is busy with a 12A peripheral port engine. The role cage is finished and the car is standing on brand new race suspension. I also know that he has sorted out the alloy rims but there is no tyres acquired yet. I suspect t...

Re: Mazda Capella RS Info Wanted (newbie)

The Capella Rs did indeed have the 25mm lowered suspension. The car was powered by a 12A single distributor rotary engine that made 96.9kW at 7000rpm and 155Nm torque at 4000. It did indeed also have the side vinyl "thin thick thin" straight racing stripes with the Mazda RS logo imprinted on the fla...

Re: MAZDA Rx-2

My my! I have been away for a long time. The Heidelberg cosmo belongs to a Mr du Plessis. The other cosmo is red and could still belong to Leon Greeff of De Graafs Exhaust in Vanderhoff Rd, Pta West. Both cars are powered by Rx-2 engines. There is rumours of a third powder blue cosmo seen at Pta Car...

NSU gearbox parts / engine parts

Hi I am looking for NSU Ro80 gearbox and engine parts. I have a project on the go to get a beige car back to rotary power. For now I will use a 13B Mazda engine adapted to the NSu gearbox and torque converter drive. Maybe someone has a NSu gearbox and torque converter lying around that could be appl...

Re: nsu ro80 car

Hi Freddie Seeing that this poor forum has lost most of it's pictures, I would also like to ask that you post some pictures of the car. The downdraft carbed rotary NSUs were only available in 1974. Is your car a 1974? What does the headlamps look like? Is is big glass covered clusters like a Golf 4,...

Re: Nsu Ro80

I had a look on Saturday at Hano and Piet's NSU. It is still relatively complete and can offer lots of donor parts for a project car. I hope your car finds a good home. It will be a pity if the car had to be scrapped. Piet please post pictures of your Canam when it is finished. I would love to see i...

Re: MAZDA Rx-2

The soughted crossmember be for a Savanna Rx-3! There were two cars imported in the early seventies to compete in the SAF Springbok 9 Hour endurance races. One car has survived because it was turned into a rally car. The other one we do not know... I was hoping to find a Rx-4 crossmember but this al...

Re: MAZDA Rx-2

Hi Madrx. Thank you for the pics of the crossmember. Yes it seems to a simple design that can be home fabricated with basic tools and a MIG welder. I will have a word with the owner and let you know. Thanks for the help!
