Re: Any Mopower here?

You should have a chat to my dad. He worships Chrysler V8s and has rebuilt quite a few of them. His number is 028 55 11 425.

Re: missing mopar

it sure is, although i haven't seen it in a couple of years and have no idea in what condition it's in now. it has been garaged, but my uncle is not a 'car person' so it hasn't been decommissioned properly for storage. he doesn't seem to have any sort of plan for the car but i don't think he wants t...

Re: Racing Valiants/Chryslers

Well the thing is, on the Charger, my dad cut out the inner fenders and replaced them with tubular reinforcements which, if I am visualising correctly, freed up a lot of space. I'll ask my brother to take a few pics and send them to me.

Re: Racing Valiants/Chryslers

I don't know exactly. I was quite young and ignorant at the time, but if I remember correctly it didn't have that much done to it. Just a cam, Edelbrock intake, Holley and I think my dad ported the heads himself. He also had some intricate exhaust manifolds made by a guy in Cape Town, which took for...

I seem to remember when he bought the car it was painted yellow, but the previous owner had sprayed it directly onto the flames so you could still make out the flame reliefs! My uncle subsequen...

Re: Racing Valiants/Chryslers

I only traced this topic back to its beginning after I posted the "model identification guide" and ironically it started with my dad's car! He raced the red 1969 Barracuda in the Classic Car Championship at Killarney during the late 1990s. The car had huge white "43" numerals on the sides, which wer...

Re: Racing Valiants/Chryslers

First of all, thank you very much for posting the pics. My dad has been nagging me for ages to try and find ANY pictures of Pardini's cars on the net and these are remarkable. You will notice that I say "cars". The person who claims that the pictures are of "the same car" is in fact mistaken. The ca...
