I had a series 1 VDP years ago (manual) with the 3.9 stroker conversion - what a car!
If yours is a manual gearbox make sure you change the hydraulic clutch hose to a braided one, I had two burst before I changed over.

I'm suprised that there has been no mention of the SA only E23 BMW 745i with the 24v DOHC. More suprising however is that one of them was raced.
