To answer one of your earlier questions, the thermostat and fan switch temp settings determine the coolant temperatures regardless of engine size and make.

Hi Uvi, Take the vehicle to a Silverton Radiator or equivalent and let 'em do 3 tests. 1 Compression test. 2 Exhaust gas in the coolant test. 3 Coolant temp test at top and bottom of radiator, and block. This will take 10 minutes, and the results will take give you a starting point without the guess...
