Re: Classic open day at Killarney

Firstly, I want to say I'm very new to this site. I am not a young person like the rest of you and my memory has not been as bright as I would like it. I have wanted to enjoy writing what I can remember and to share it with those of you that want to enjoy with me. I have asked questions when I'm not...

Re: Classic open day at Killarney

I like the enthusiasm that goes with some friends here in the way they want to restore cars and work very energetically in finding these old cars to fix up. I'm not one to get involved with fighting and arguing. I'm too old for that and life is too short, but I must comment on some of the things sai...

Re: Other Alfas

Arnold Chatz had the knack of preparing the Alfa 1750 and later on the 2 liter and he got them going very quickly. I think he won the Onyx Trophy, or whatever it was called at the time, a couple of times while driving them.

Re: THE SPRINGBOK SERIES

Re: THE SPRINGBOK SERIES

I couldn't follow the racing after the Fords and Lolas left. To me it didn't have the excitement and interest.

Those pictures are nice. The cars got very small. What's that Capri?

I rember the Olthoff Cobra, the day he blew both the Cobra and the Galaxie up. He was racing against Van Rooyen's Mustang and Serrurier's Lola.

Racing Fiats

I knew of some Fiat 1100's racing way back, but don't know who drove them. Did anything from that company run later on?

Koos Swanepoel

What is the history of this driver? When did he start racing? I saw him racing a Perana Capri and heard about the Cortina.
