It has been in the family for only 8 years but as far as I'm aware it is the original. I have seen a few Elkies in that colour so it makes sense that it is original.

Thank you very much for your response.
Am I correct in saying that in order to sort the problems out I will have to replace the Fuel Gauge and most likely the Seepdo cable as well or is there a way to fix either?

Hi All, I have two small problems with my Elky. First is the Fuel gauge that jumps permanently between max and current level of fuel, but it jumps quit violently so I have disconnected it as I'm scared the needle will actually break.
