Your car looks clean. Congrats. There is a plate behind the drivers side headlight that will tell you if its a genuine xr6.

Re: EDELBROCK INTAKE FOR 4V CLEVELAND

Hi Max. I have heard of guys fitting this intake onto 2v heads but have never done it myself. It will bolt on but there will obviously be a mismatch on the ports.Dont know how much work you are prepared to do on your heads to get a better match. Remember that a cleveland has a dry intake so you dont...

Re: Help with holley

Hi Shaun. If you are running a regulator then I assume you have a holley blue pump rather than the red. Without the regulator the blue pump will push 13 psi. Way too high for the holley needle and seats. That's why its pushing fuel out of the bowl vent. A holley likes 6 to 7 psi so set your regulato...

Re: Ford Capri brake upgrade

Hi Leraj. If you want a quick and cheap minor upgrade on the front, rover calipers bolt straight on.I have this on one of my capris. My other car runs bmw 328 discs. You will need to redrill them to your 108 pcd and have spigot rings made. Also a caliper bracket must be fabricated. A friend of mine has u...

Re: SIERRA XR8 RACE SUSPENSION SETUP

You may actually be overheating the rear brakes and that is where the fade starts. You are on 15" wheels? And those are BMW's 280mm discs with a 54mm piston caliper? That would throw off the biase, remember OEM Ford is a 60mm (nominal) caliper piston with the rears sized to suit. Now you are much s...

Re: SIERRA XR8 RACE SUSPENSION SETUP

What pads are you running? What lines rubber or stainless ? The master cylinder may not necessarily be the culprit if you are only getting brake fade after a few laps , the pads can glaze and the std lines expand and a 328 disc is solid gets hot quick ... Im running ATE pads and the discs are venti...

Re: SIERRA XR8 RACE SUSPENSION SETUP

Quite a bit in the cars running under 35's. Standard 30 year old sedans would be lucky to get under 45's. Gives you a lot more respect for the streetcars in the low 1min 30s.My car runs 1 min 36 at the moment but i feel that with sorted brakes and suspension and me learning to drive properly it sho...
