That car was expertly built in the late 1980's.
That looks like the car Jannie V built and later sold to Tinus (who rebuilt/resprayed it).

The damage after the prang. Real shame about that, but can probably be patched up again.

Oom Sarel (now 70) wringing the Cortina out. By the look of it, it runs the stock suspension.

There are a couple of this forum's member cars there too. The Cortina Interceptor pictured is the one Gary Stacey built (Sarel vd Merwe is driving it) and there is a post or two about it somewhere. Nic Sheward also brought the Presto Sierra XR8 Gp1 replica car down. My ex- Sierra XR6 is racing (Jack...

CanAm17, If you will also have to run that car on semi's (new rules), then a smaller revvier engine might work better as the big torque from big capacity could just over power the semi's completely. 302 already challenges full slicks, let alone a 327 or 350 on semi's. The back end will really have n...

Re: MkII Cortina Perana V6 racer

KR has it right. I got the car running earlier this year, around March/April I think. I then had a very stubborn issue with a spongy brake pedal that drove me up the wall, but it got fixed eventually. It ran well enough, I had high hopes for good lap times. .....and then I sold it. Part of a larger ...

Re: 58 Chevy Build

Well that is a huge milestone reached, congrats! And very well done, I only saw the truck a couple of lanes over in passing, but it looked really good. Needless to say it stands out in the sea of modern Iphones.... :D

Look forward to reading the rest of its story.
