Re: new Fastback Mustang Body from Dynacorn
Thats exactly right - on my personal wish list is an original Capri Perana and Can Am -I would drive those as original as possible so I sit in both camps.

Re: spotted 69 camaro
Watch this space - definately on the cards but focusing on Mustangs for now - what is on the water is a 1970 Boss 302 replica for me which we will convert to RHD. There is a Chevy heart beating in one of our chests so Camaro will happen probably second half of 2011 and 69 is the choice. We already h...

Re: spotted 69 camaro
It would look quite ordinary. A properly built crate 350 with a genuine 530 hp will cost considerably north of R70k and you still have to get it here and pay vat etc. Note I said genuine 530 hp not somebodies wild claim.

Re: new Fastback Mustang Body from Dynacorn
Originality in a Mustang has no real value unless it is a rare model like a Shelby or a 69 or 70 Boss. Restomod Mustangs if done well often sell for much more than restored cars which still have 40 year old technology handling, stopping, steering and gearboxes. They built millions so old Mustangs ar...

Re: new Fastback Mustang Body from Dynacorn
We (Diamondback Racing) are "the crowd in Durban". The price was never 1.4 bar. We sell a complete Eleanor with new RHD body and 2010 Mustang drivetrain plus independent front and rear suspension (ie a brand new car) for less than a bar! We have 4 RHD bodies here at the moment - 2 having just arrive...

Re: Intro - Craig - DiamondBack Racing
Sorry Tony69 - The Mustang is monocoque so no chassis - it's a unibody.
Hang onto that Camaro chassis (the Yanks call it a frame) - you never know what doors can open.

Re: Intro - Craig - DiamondBack Racing
Thanks John. It probably helps that I am an absolute enthusiast - my fondest memories are of watching 181z at Roy Hesketh as well as the little Chevs in their day as factory cars and as raced later by Des Alley. I remember as if yesterday studying minutely the underside of 181z whilst it was on the ...

Re: Intro - Craig - DiamondBack Racing
Thanks Guys - our factory is in Glen Anil - 24 - 26 Columbine Rd - visits are welcome. Obviously the complete cars are aimed at a very limited market - my intro was aimed at background not to try and sell cars. Where it gets interesting is that we have developed all sorts of components not only to c...

Intro - Craig - DiamondBack Racing
Hi, My name is Craig and I am situated in Durban. I am a partner in DiamondBack Racing and we are a registered motor manufacturer - what we do is import RHD 67 Mustang bodies made by Dynacorn.com (they build new bodies under licence from Ford and are built at the factory as RHD - probably the only o...
