John the Consul Capri was a 2 door Coupe with a long sloping rear window.
This car is a normal 2 door saloon, so therefore not a Capri.
Agreed?

Re: Sunbeam Tigers: made in SA
Oldtimers like myself will remember a white Tiger raced at Killarney in the late 60's & early 70's by John Simpson.

2.3 litre Ford Pinto Engine
As you guys will know in the 80's Ford USA produced a 4 cylinder Mustang with a 2.3 Turbo engine. Over the years a few of these cars ended up in S A. Re: Help: Is this a good idea?
ZAP in case you are interrested. On Sunday I saw Robbie Heydenrich after the show with a faded red 1970 Mk2 Cortina GT. Original car with black stripes along the sides and up the front fenders. Car still fitted with it's original 5J Rostyle rims. That would be an ideal starting point for a Perana re...

Re: Help: Is this a good idea?
ZAP the answer for you might be to build a replica Cortina Perana Mk2. Being a Perana man yourself this might just be the ideal companion to your Capri Perana. Cortina Mk2's are lighter than any other locally produced car fitted with the Essex V6 so immediately you have a performance advantage. Also...
