Kermit, my mechanic seems confident that we can bypass the security systems and retain the complete original loom. We using the BMW column and keys. I will speak to Spitronics to determine if there is start up maps available for the BMW V8 as a plan B.

We going to fabricate a body. I was thinking carbon composite. Not totally decided on the style but will post pics of the general idea.

I had a mkIII Spitfire many years ago. I fitted the Nissan 1400 motor & 5 speed box. Very simple, I was 14 yrs old and did it myself with my dad overseeing. The diff died a few days later so that has to be considered as well. The 1400 Nissan had decent power. I don't think those chassis can support ...
