Re: SAPPHIRE V8
To the best of my knowledge, the RS500 Sapphires were built by JT Developments in Pretoria and sold through Steyn's Ford branches in the city. (They were also the guys that did the initial development of the 3.4 liter Essex V6 for Ford) The cars were Ghia spec with all the bells and whistles. They h...

Re: Bad workers in S.A.
Rassie, I cannot agree with you more. It is extremely difficult to find good help. I also run a one man show. I currently have a friend who is between jobs, who assists me with the mechanical aspects. He is a great help, but the car audio side and custom fabrication is not his forte. I have my garde...

351 Cleveland engine wanted
I am urgently looking for a good, running, 351 Cleveland engine.
The engine in the Mustang has developed a terminal knock and we would really like to do the Putfoot rally.

Suspension butchers
A very nice car came into the shop the other day, for me to attend to some rattles and get the steering wheel aligned properly in the straight ahead position. I was also asked to attend to some clunking noises in the front suspension. Loafing around under the car, doing my best impression of a ceili...

'73 Mustang Mach 1 power steering box - mahala
We have replaced the steering box on the Mustang with a new unit that I had brought in from CJ Pony parts. The old unit is available for free, first to arrive can have it. I replaced it because the spool valve needs attention, so the car has extremely light steering, almost like when the wheels are ...
