Re: El Camino wanted

I remember seeing it, but I can't seem to find it right now; found a few others though, choices choices! None are in my immediate area, looks like all the Middelburg Elkies have evaporated

Re: New kid!

I'm in Middelburg, Mp; Thing is, once I've customised mine, he'll hopefully stay mine 'till the day I die ;) Could you give me an approx. price for an engine & gearbox? Might help with the search a bit. Or some contact details even.. Call me Karien :) For now it'll be a step-by-step process, save up...

El Camino wanted

I'm looking for a 1970's model El Camino, preferably V8, with papers and licence. Rust, other cosmetic or minor problems are acceptable. Looking to restore and customise, leave details of the vehicle (condition, location, price) and contact details please. The closer to Middelburg MP the better, but...

Re: New kid!

I just may follow the 'drop in a V8' route in the end, and I prefer a manual, it's just so much more fun  Money's just the current drawback, what does a new/secondhand V8 block cost these days? Now you're welcome to call me a Dude, many do, but just so you know, I'm really a Dudette ;) Than...

Re: New kid!

Thanks for the welcomes :D Shoebox, where do you live then? Oh that black rubbery stuff's actually just a clear matte topcoat, I'd probably stick to mainly oil slick black, nice 'n' shiny is the way to go. I just find it a little hard to get hold of a V8 model, and if I do, someone's already added a...

New kid!

Hello Well, actually that's all I want to say. But while I'm at it; I grew up with the smells and sounds of my dad's V8 El Camino, and am currently on the prowl, looking for a similar model that I can restore and, 'improve'. No excessive wings and crap, just enough paint and power to frighten old la...
