Re: MY FORD CORTINA 30S
very nice Glen ,a good friend Alwie Lester also has a mint condition one...is it the same one? not a big V6 ford kop , but none the less, awesome condition. I remember way back how the SSS bins used to give these things a hiding ;) A datsun sss could never dream of running with a well-sorted 3.0 s ...

Re: Capri Perana
If its not the actual car that Basil Green built then how could it be a Perana? Doesnt the Perana name imply that it came out of his shop? This is a perana drivetrain but not a perana car.Quite simple i think. Could still be a good car though.Just call it what it is.

Re: MY FORD CORTINA 30S
Lekker Glen. I see youve got the look just right. Those twin tilt sunroofs may not be cool now but they were a must-have back in the day. Remember the quad headlight conversions? Heres what mine looked like back then. complete with those funky sunroofs.

Re: XR6 Rally Cortina
Interesting. I did not know that. I'm sure that intercepter would have brought more spectators to the rallies. Like the straight six skylines did. Six cylinders sucking through triple carbs.

Re: FORD ESSEX V6 STROKER
Dammit guys this is enough to make any fordkop go teary-eyed. Some of those essex cars used to give my capri perana a hard time at Indiana roadhouse. ;) ;) I remember that xle being untouchable on the road but was eventually humbled by the yellow bomber v6 capri at killarney dragstrip. That ca...

Re: Grosvenor V8 Sierra
I have seen at least one Grosvenor sierra v8. A white car in cape town. IMHO they are not as good as an xr8 but still a nice car. The engine is mounted further forward because they used an aftermarket sump rather than the fox unit in the xr8 and so the waterpump wont fit and they had to use an essex...
