Glad to know it is still alive :D If you don't want to balloon the wheel arches than the other option is to widen the wheel arch inwards. :D

Roll the fenders, He should have sent the specs when ordering the wheels , you can get them with different offsets.

It still works. All the old cars had a inside lip around the wheel arches that people shaved off or if you a guy like me , take a 76mm poll , get someone to hold it inbetween the tyre and arch and roll it out as you drive forward and backwards but if the rim sticks out further than the lip then you screwed unless you want to bubble the fenders which looks terrible unless you have a yellow 1600 sport escort. You can always shorten the diff. If all else fails your last step would be to sell the wheels to me and order a set of standard wire wheels and not the reversed ones.

Problem with the 64/65 Malibu/Chevelle is that the rear axle doesn't drop out much when you jack the car up and with the overhang of the rear arches it limits the size of the rim you can get in between the drum and the arch. Also limits your size to a very narrow 215-35-19" (if you're lucky and 215 will look to narrow for the cars cross section)

I'd say 235-35-18"s is the limit. Unless you take apart the suspension to get the rim in....

I run 235-45-17''s in the back and that's already tricky to get into the arch when I’m doing it alone...

Then again, it probably depends if the stance of the car has been altered, if the axle and drums has been fiddled with etc etc...

What size are the rims in the pictures?
