Hi Guys

Andre is right, sorry about the quick post and no info...

First a bit more about the car:

My dad bought this car in 1977 (more or less) and it had at that time done around 70000kms, the guy who sold it was a farmer in Dealesville and he complained about the car having too much power and therefore needed something smaller so he traded it in for a Fairlane 500 automatic. The dealer he traded it with is a member of our family and was for a long time a salesman at Lambons Ford in Bloemfontein, He phoned my dad and he drove the car home almost immediately. My dad passed away 4 years ago and we unfortunately need to sell it now as my mother cannot drive.

The car was only used for Sundays and holidays, we towed the caravan and then it got washed and parked back on the carpet in the garage, there have been no major engine issues, my dad was a qualified mechanic and serviced the car at regular intervals. We recently replaced the gearbox links as well.

Now for me:

I am a computer specialist, 35 years old and have 2 left hands when it comes to cars, really love them but haven't got an idea where to start when something is wrong. I have grown up to love big V8s and as Andre will also testify (My dad and his dad were friends and I do lots of work for his school) I am looking for someone who will love this car and take as good or even better care of it than my dad did. Please email me for any info or phone the above number if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help or provide pictures, info etc...

I've seen a pic of the tag, car was originally automatic and didnt have the vinyl top.

Also colour code OE, never seen or heard of it in my life. O is yellow ochre. E I've never seen.

OE is a paint code I have never seen, I'm trying to locate info on the code now and have been in contact with Frikkievn.
Pretty much all paint codes have the O in front its the letter after that matter, see the list below.

Boxy the car is not maize, it is a much lighter color.

I know the car well and have seen it several times in person, but speak to Frikkie, not sure if it has been repainted.

Hi Guys

Just to update you, I have taken the driver seat out and the tag there states the car as being Daytona Yellow and Black, just to answer some of the questions about the car's original colors.
