i was interested in the Fairmont, as well as Gunter's Fairlane to rebuilt my motor and stuff into, but i simply don't have the money right now due to medical expenses and various other personal reasons.

so, yes, there was interest, but what can you do...pity to see the car cut up, but if it has to, it has to go...

It would be awesome to make a couch out of the boot, I wonder what my wife would say with one of those in the living room.

I sold a nice one about 2 years back (for R8000 - far less than I paid for it!)

Its unfortunate - no matter how much of a bargain something is - its human nature to want to pay even less!

If nobody really wants it for the amount advertised, why not give it to someone who really wants it but can't afford it. At least you do not have the trouble of cutting it up for junk and get nothing for it anyways?

Helping someone else has the tendency to award you ten times more in future in my experience.

Just a thought.........................

I think that is an awesome idea FPT. If he want to go this route my idea would be to ma by have some kind of a vote. I can think of at least one person that really deserves a gift like this.

The car will be cut up in a angle grinder ceremony taking place at Grahams house 1 August. The whole thing is being filmed and will appear on Youtube. Sensitive viewers should turn off their PC..............................
