Actually...I have no idea. Had the car for two weeks and
It got me into trouble where i stay...the diff was locked and
It was lowered to about 2.5inches off the tar...i knocked the speedbumps out
And made black tracks all over the parking
But it went like hell...i ran away from the fastest subarus and gave a porshe a hiding in corners.
But i had to let it go.

Tnx ters, Seen a few lexus based cars. Only thing I'm worried about is spares for the Lexus, and price of it.

Bullet, if it breaks you buy a complete engine for 5500/6000 and replace it! There's companies in SA that supply parts for them. Still cheaper than Ford/Chevy spares I bet. Friend of mine has one in a Mitsu Colt trokkie, gets 6 km/l "playing".

But why not consider a BMW 540i / 740i, excellent cars?

Great cars! I was warned to look put for the following though....

The motor is prone to chewing timing chain guides once it has reached 200K. The timing chain guides become brittle and can separate from their backing.
Total cost to renew timing chain guides will be in the order of R9000, labor & parts inclusive.
Fuel consumption is in the order of 15L/100Km if you drive it conservatively and if you are a hooligan then budget for 18-20L/100Km.
If the car smokes on start up it could well be that the diaphragm on the rear of the inlet manifold has ruptured and roughly R1700 will resolve it.
Transmission oil coolers are known to get blocked and cook the automatic transmission, giving hard shifts or retaining gears.
Transmission oil cooler is roughly R4000 and ATF long life roughly R2000, so you may wish to budget for that as well.

I am still considering the one offered to me.....
