Automatic car wanted.

Post by RASSIE » Wed 03 Dec 2014, 07:16

I need an automatic car for my wife. R.25k max as it stand from 12 in the afternoon in the sun as she is an after care teacher and the monkeys are playing on the car and the kids walk past scratching the car with bags. Also if I find a rusted or accident damage Merc. with running engine, 1983/84 Merc. 280 SE, 126 series I can fix her cars as both stand for +/- 5 months.
Any help?
Rassie.

I would suggest keeping an eye out for a Jetta MK2 Automatic, I have seen plenty clean examples in your price range. 1800 CLX Automatic, still comfortable to drive and very easy to fix up. CLX or even CLI models can be had for not too much of money. One of my school teachers has her CLX from new, its on 550k and still going strong. Only problem is that she won't sell it to me haha

I can certainly second that...my nephew's old '88 Golf 1800 Sport bakkie had 500k when he sold it a few months back and is also still hauling loads for its new owner :D

Very hard to find in Durban as they are mostly rusted!
