Re: Mk3 cortina perana
Now I recognise that car, I didn't think there would be too many Mk3 Cortina Perana's in the uk.. I'm glad it's in good hands and will be restored properly.
Are you sure about 'Daytona yellow', is that what the plate says?

As a result there is very little information on these cars and this one is the only one I have ever seen in the flesh.

Re: Mk3 cortina perana
Looking at doing the paint this colour as it's close to the Capri colour
Got to get my finger out and build a garage at the back of my other house that my sister rents from me
Then full steam ahead with the strip down roll over jig soda blast and weld it up like a new shell
Will try and post pictures when the work starts
Thanks for the encouragement people
I hope to do this car the justice it needs
Steve

Hi Steve, have a look at the under seat plate if it is still there and check the paint code, it should also be on the Ford SA plate under the bonnet. A car this rare should be done back to origional.
Cheers

Plate is still under the seat but I've not looked at it in detail yetpaulusvrotius1 wrote:Hi Steve, have a look at the under seat plate if it is still there and check the paint code, it should also be on the Ford SA plate under the bonnet. A car this rare should be done back to origional.
I'm led to believe is Daytona yellow
I'm not a lover of Daytona yellow so thought I would go with the paler mk1 Capri colour I've seen and I like it
I appreciate what's been said about originalty but I've got to like the colour I'm looking at and Daytona don't do it for me
There's plenty of time yet before the paint goes on so who knows it may grow on me and be the final colour
I would appreciate it if someone could post pictures of mk1 capri peranas in the yellow if it's different to Daytona that is
Thanks in advance steve
