Wanted 69 Camaro

Post by Burnthosetyres » Mon 22 Nov 2010, 16:45

I am looking for a 69 Chev Camaro. Preferably a project car, as I have a specific picture in my head, where I want to end up. Been looking for a while with little luck...

I live in Durban, currently have a beautiful 57 Chev Apache, and busy restoring a 33 Chevy Steel Body Coup. Motor done, and fabrication done, busy with body prep, expected to be complete by April 2011.

We are starved for Shows and meets in Kzn. Want to lign up a 69 Camaro for my next project. But as they say, scarce like rockinghorse shit....

I hope its not the Camaro from the guy that 'works' in the Kruger park and his car is in his garage in Pretoria/JHB .....that ad is 100% a scam!

No, saw this one in person, been trying to buy it for 6 months, but the price was like an elastic band. Eventually we did the deal, but not easy working through a middle man.... Lets see, paid a deposit, till its in my driveway and I have the logbook, will not get ahead of myself. Been there before a year ago with a 57 Apache, where I did a deal, till I arrived to collect the car, and the price and agreed terms changed. Needless to say the seller found it an ardeous task to shove his car where I suggested!
