Yep... Picked up the GT this afternoon and blew out a few cobwebs down the N1.

It was nice meeting you yesterday John We have to catch up again when you visit and maybe even go for a ride with one of our guys. Anyone on here that went yesterday, I saw a blue Fairmont GT giving it beans and spinning off on the pit straight. It was a close call

G'day Redracer,

That was me, cold tyres and a bit to much loud pedal in that last corner brought me undone big time.
Not a good spot to kiss the pit wall infront of everyone (luckily I didn't)
For the whole day I never really got that corner right, either to late on the brakes or on the juice to early.
I did however start getting good at corner 1.

The day came to an end with a big bang in the 9 inch in corner 1. Limped home yet again from the Big Z.

Anyone know of a good diff rebuilder in J/burg ???

Roy I saw Mike Budd today - we tried to catch up on the 33 years since school in 1 hour... Oh well - we will go for a beer in a week or two.

Yep diff is stuffed and sounds like there is lots of metal floating around in there.

Atleast the brakes held up this time.

Alot of people enjoyed seeing the GT getting flogged around the track and the skidpan. They were built to be driven...

No-one with any good contacts in J/burg for diff rebuilding ???

Drove down to see them in Benrose today as they said they could help. Told them what I had before I went and they said it would be all good and they'd have parts...

Nursed the GT down there, and when I got there they said "Ohh no we haven't got parts for that... We will have to import them from the States..."

Glad the diff didn't S#*T it'self on the way there and back.

Have sent a TXT to Frik to see if he has a spare axle still for sale...

And by the way I'm still a temporay S.A. resident / tax payer till March next year. An Aussie emmigrating to S.A.... Unheard of
