So with three weeks to go, I thought it was as good a time as any to give my Lakes roadster a nose job.....

Also, the motor is in pieces again (fitting some 305 heads) and I plan to make up some better headers too...

And then I am dealing with all the rust that developed after last year: The 'pan has a pretty high salt content. With dust getting in everywhere and then the overheating and catching some rain on the way back, the temporary etch primer on the inside wasn't up to giving much corrosion protection, so stripping it all back and spraying some epoxy....
(Maybe I should have washed it LOL)

Travelling to PTA tomorrow, then off early to the desert Friday morning. Even though I am not taking anything to run I am still excited.

Ill be on the road at 4am on Friday , and no im not one of the" smug ones " i have my list and i tick off as i go . My quad is giving us starting problem mso ill sort that out today and Lumina is still at GM having the speed control seen to .

Hopefully we see some guys on the road there and can travel in convoy . Im easy to recognise my Lumina has large PMAT logos on the side .
