Hi Guys

Theuns the guy building racing engines is Andre (Lammies) Lambrecht of Lamco Engineering in Pta. He's been building racing engines for + - 30 years.

I can let you have a contact number if required.

He is no relation to Arnold Lambert, Cape Town Ford racer and dealer in racing Fords.

Arnold does have a large fleet of Classic Fords but fortunately has his son Jaco to help him drive the lot.

All his cars are for sale except the blue Finecar Anglia with which he has won many championships.

Every year he also sells a couple of cars to the visitors coming out with David Piper from the U K. The guys buy the cars from Arnold, race them for one weekend and leave the cars in his care for storage and preparation until they come out the following year.

He sold it to the guy currently racing it. Sorry don't know his name, but the car is still a regular in Classics at Killarney

I must say, having got to know Arnold over the last couple of years, he has got it together in many ways. I'm very impressed by the way he turns out his cars on the track. His workshop is also spotless.

It's a good advertisement for his cars if they do come up for sale.

Agree Arnold's cars are some of the best turned out at Killarney. I do like the red Mk2 - it is simple and to the point and very neat.

Thanks Henry....that answers my question. Lamco Engineering is what I was thinking about.

It is also no surprise when you hear that a succesful guy like Arnold Lambert's workshop is spotless clean. The two goes hand in hand.

I haven't seen too many pictures of Niemand driving this car.

This should spur you on in your hunt Gunter.
