Now I am really stabbing in the dark. What about Andy Terlouw. And why does the name Eloff ring a bell? Billy Maloney was a Ford man but also has a ring to it.

It probably was someone with BMC / Leyland history. We will all say "ahhhhhhh" when the name pops up.

Name Eloff Leyland sounds right.

However Andy Terlouw was more a Mini/Renault 5 type of guy and I don't recall him racing a big Jag. Big cars were more in the O Sullivan camp. But I might be wrong.

Yes Terlouw was a Mini / Renault guy, was just taking a chance! I actually don't think the driver was a big name, maybe someone who raced in the TVL setup.

I've seen some old magazine images of Terlouw in the Mini think it could have formed part of an advert for Leyland.
