Hi there
My dad had a Valiant Rustler bakkie. I can remember it used to tow caravans that the Fairlane 500 used to Struggle with.( Straight 6 versus V8)?
Also it had a badge on it saying Formula S , Dont know if that meant anything
I would love to get my hands on one them, but strangely they are very scares nowadays

Stock motor single bbl 8.4cr 145Bhp - advertised - in reality about 135 with CarterBBS or holley economaster
Formula S - 160 BHP Carter BBD, Higher lift cam same cr
FYI Formula S in states refered to suspension package - we got the Suspension and as I have it ir t was refered to as a heavy duty suspension and the Engine gained the Formula S name
