Hi all

I am trying place the front oil seal on my trimatic. It was quite an effort to remove the old one. I had to tap it with a screwdriver and hammer and then yank it out with claw hammer.

Now as much as I try to tap the new one into position it just won't go in. I have measured the old and new one and it has less than a mm difference in size. New one is larger.
I got the seal, pan gasket and filter from interspares.

I assumed the new one is marginally larger to make it fit snug.

Please advise how to get the seal in, its driving me nuts.
