6 second monster!!

Post by FordV6_Interceptor » Sat 20 Jun 2009, 08:10

The other day I was looking through HotRod magazine and I happen to come across a small article showing the first ever 6second drag strip time for a car. And ofcourse it had to be a Ford!!! (**,) 6.72sec for the mighty 2003 Ford Mustang.

I saw the article too, but this is not the first 6 second car, just the first 10.5 tire, 6sec car. 6 and even now 5 second cars are very common in the Pro Mod world. Still, its very impressive. Whats the most interesting is the turbo setup.

Yip, Spiro Pappas is THE 10.5 racer, that guy is just crazy fast.
Here is the fastest of the lot though, Jim Halsey.

HJ
thats a promod, different class, but is fookin quick

spirro's is fast in outlaw
he is one of the few guys still running what appears to be a oldschool 3spd auto in 2008 PSCA nationals, but always seemed troubled with trans failures in final rounds on the PSCA DVD's i got

most of the other guys using 4/5 spd lencos

I think he holds the record for highest MPH in outlaw 10.5 (just over 220mph), but that was like 2 years back, and i see he isnt racing PSCA this season
