A sapphire always looks sweet in black and your paint job looks super smooth. You are clearly not afraid of hard work. That's an interesting choice of engine as it's not usually the first choice for a conversion but with a t5 gearbox as standard and the option of serious horsepower when turbocharged it actually makes a lot of sense. I see that you have a big brake conversion on the front. Could you tell me where you sourced the discs and calipers? I want to do a similar setup on my xr8.

Thanks
Colin

Hi Colin, black is beautiful but only for the first 5 mins after it's washed and polished. After that the dust etc. just rushes to cling to it. :x
Turbo charging is the reason why the car is stripped again. You have a good nose my friend.
My brake conversion (calipers and discs) front and rear is from a Focus ST.
The car came standard with ABS but i had issues with it. I turfed everything and fitted a normal brake booster and master cylinder courtesy Focus ST as well.

Stripped all the parts i won't be using from the turbo motor, cleaned it up and prepped it for fitting.
Couple of things had to be changed and some special goodies had to be made.
Stock T5 was turfed as well
Image

Bought a Tremec TKO 500. I had to have an adapter made to mate the Tremec to the Falcon bellhousing. Also clutch kit was made up courtesy of LUK Repco SA.

I was told the clutch kit is good for +800NM. Only time will tell :?

All happy fitted together. :D

Cut a big fat hole in my dash to house gauges. Something different to using the locations other guys used.

Fitted the base

Then cluster

Also too my speedo cluster apart and did this. Not too sure if i'm keeping this.

View from driver seat. Cluster sits flush. I was busy sorting the wiring so not clipped in properly.

Thanks for the info on the brake upgrade. Will definitely look into it.I assume you had to make up a caliper bracket and a spigot to fit the disc onto the sierra hub after drilling it to the 108 pcd.I've seen those territory st's do 14 second quarter mile runs even though they weigh about two tons so i reckon you are going to see a lot of surprised challengers on the road.It will be interesting to see your car up against a good v8 sierra/sapphire.

Cheers
