Hi Moby
That looks like a fibreglass kit that was build a couple of years ago to replace your old Datsun 1200 ldv body.

There have been some other attempts at this like for the old Landcruiser too. A Golf.

And that anglepanelled-job Toyota TUV, that also a ZA project ?

We often get ripped off about the motorised-"Brick" Chev Nomad but it's stood the test of time ours is 32 years old, been in the Army, then travelled from the East (Mozambique) to the West (Namibia) and still looking for gravel.

Nomad still looks a bit prettier than that Gemsbok I think.

Yep, ain't the purtiest little vehicle I have ever seen :) but its unique I guess. I like the Nomad, almost had one, but after driving it round the block, refused point blank to drive it again, of course that was 24 years ago and I did'nt know much about anything then. Which reminds me, I need Nomad pictures for the site if anyone has any, lot of interest in the one that I have on there, I think you sent it to me Lino.

I don't know that one, but in KZN on the coast where things RUST we had several manufacturers of firberglass rebody kits. Names that I recall are Mboza and Fibervan.

I think you should visit Mboza's website. I nearly bought a Landcruiser conversion! with 3.8 Toyota engine full warranty couple years back.
