Who remembers these?

Before the Nissan 1400 became a household name, Toyota also had a half ton pickup.

They did not sell in great numbers, but the ones I've seen were rusting very bad.

My Dad bought one in 1978 new, I bought it from him in 2004 and sold it in 2009 after needing a bigger bakkie.

Never opened the motor that did over 400k km and still started first time after standing for 2 weeks not used.

Best bakkie I have ever owned!

Pic before I sold it.

This is the Biekiebakkie I did for a customer some time ago. The owner bought it new way back when and decided to give it some love and attention, as a reward for all the years of reliable service

We had it at Atomic junkies some time ago.

I did a Full Rockford Fosgate sound system in it, fitted electric windows, made a new polished stainless steel rollbar, replaced the tonneau cover tinted the windows and finally fitted some 13 inch Superlite wheels.

Still bone stock standard. It only has about 95K kms on the clock.
It is scheduled for a front disc brake conversion, later in the year, though.
