Hi folks
Does anyone else get the following message from photobucket, in older threads, instead of the actual picture?
Can anything be done about it?

Re: Viewing pictures in older threads
No, the users need to pay to increase storage. unless you allow people to upload to the AMC servers direct via the forum and the use of a uploads folder.

WE NOTICED THAT YOU HAVE BEEN USING
PHOTOBUCKET FOR 3RD PARTY HOSTING*
PLEASE UPGRADE TO A PLUS 500 PLAN.
*What is 3rd Party Hosting?
Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website. For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, auction listing, blog, etc. is definitively 3rd party hosting.
Competitive, fixed pricing Offers the only unlimited 3rd party hosting plan (Commercial and Personal Use)
Are my pictures still safe?
Yes! All your photos are still available by logging into your Photobucket Account. Photobucket has only restricted the ability to view your photos on 3rd party sites.
Can I download my Photos?
Absolutely, at any time. It is an easy four step process:
Step 1. Login to your Photobucket Account
Step 2. Navigate to your library page
Step 3. View a photo and click the download button
Step 4. The picture will be saved to your computer

Re: Viewing pictures in older threads
I think imgur and Flickr can be a good substitute to Photobucket.
Re: Viewing pictures in older threads
I just found this on the NGW club. Do'nt know if its gonna work.
Copy and paste.
The browser developers have come up with a fix for the Photobucket hot link "problem".
They have developed add-ins that allow the hot linked photos to display again! Good for them!
Here's a link to the Firefox fix:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ucket-fix/
Here's the Chrome fix: If you're using chrome, click on the three dots, go to "More Tools" then "Extensions". At the bottom click on "Get more extensions". Then search for "Photobucket Hotlink Fix" and install it.
Other browser developers have fixes as well.
I applied the add-in to my Firefox installation and I can see all of the hot linked Photobucket pictures now.
(Wonder how long it will take for Photobucket to see this and find a way to break the links again?)
