Newbie on the block

Post by Samuel1985 » Thu 12 Jan 2012, 21:27

Hi all! My name Sam and i love V8's! My Grandfather had one and the fondest memories i have with him is spent around his Elky! Iam in the process of buying Kommando and it will be not only my project, but a way for me to remember my Grandfather byas his first new car was a Kommando!

Will be getting one with the standard straight6 in it, but hey, there is no replacement for displacement so thinkinh of giving her a heart transplant and dropping in a 350 V8...

For now though, first have to get ALL the rubbers to fit the windows!

But in short, im a 26 year old guy that loves muscle cars, the sound of a burbling V8 or the roar as you power away! I am always open for suggestion as there are many out there who can teach meabout V8's...

Chat to you all soon!

Thanks guys! Feel part of the family already!

Lol feel as if i should say oom and stuff, that my Mom taught me too! Haha!

But ja, love what i see and have already got a few ideas lined up on what to do with the Kommando... Dont know yet whether i want to make it into a clone or keep it Souf-Efrikan... You mos know, local is lekker and that we got taught by ol' Jan van Riebeeck way back when! ;)

Maybe the voice of reason can enlighten the young buck... Which has more monatary vallue, a Monaro clone or a truethful Kommando? But in the end i reckon its what i want and how i feel about it, i guess. Isnt it? :?:

Neresh, as you can see, banter im not afraid of!.... Happens when you shRe a home with two ladies... My Wify-Dearest and my 'lil terrorist... Hahaha!
