Hello from Florida
Hi,
My name is Ed and I'm from Florida. My apologies, I already placed a post in parts wanted earlier and neglected to introduce myself.
I own a 1972 For Capri 3000 GT and a 1973 Ford Capri Perana that I purchased in Switzerland in 1979. We brought them with us when my wife and I moved to Florida in 1981. I've owned and sold a few American muscle cars, but the 3000 GT and the Perana were always special to me. I'm in the end stages of an almost 2 year restoration of the Perana. The 1972 3000 GT was my first car and also my next project. Body and interior are good, but mechanically it needs a little help.
Any help from the members would be greatly appreciated and I would arrange for any shipping to the US myself. You wouldn't have to worry about the headaches of exporting parts. I have a friend in South Africa that would take care of it for me. Thank you in advance.
Best regards, Ed

Thank you Ters,
Here are some pics of the Perana. It isn't finished yet, but it's getting there....finally
I'll post some pictures of the 3000 GT this weekend.

Re: Hello from Florida
Thank you guys for the warm welcome. Here are some pictures of the 1972 Capri 3000:
All around it's in decent shape, but it's been sitting too long. I'm hoping to have it back on the road next year some time.

Welcome Ed
Very interesting that there was a Capri Perana in Switzerland in 1979 already, is it an original?
Do you have any history on it?
Is the Mustang and Firebird also yours?

Re: Hello from Florida
Welcome Ed, nice story and two very nice Capri's.
That 3000L must be a late '72 as it's a facelift model.
It certainly would be nice to hear some history on the Perana, I don't think there are many people who have had theirs for that long.
Would you mind sharing your BG number for my records? This is another Perana I didn't know existed. There are around 8 here in the UK that I am aware of.
