Hi guys! I'm Tony(23) from Johannesburg. I've got a 1969 Pontiac Firebird Conv. undergoing complete restoration.

So far I've done everything myself, from rebuilding the 350 V8 engine/box to replacing the rusted out floorpans and I am now reconstructing the body using lead and mig welding new metal where needed. Still to come is the interior, wiring and spray painting.

The project should be ready for cruising in +/- 12 mnths. :)

WELCOME!! Tony, a project like that at your age must be very rewarding. I hope all goes well and that you finish it.
Please post some pics of the restoration project. When did i last hear of someone leading a car, very few guys of your age that know it used to be "in-thing" back in the old days.
I'm very keen to follow your resto project, keep us up to date.
Cheers,
Daan

Here are some relatively recent pics.

As you can see, I've building it on the pavement 'Literally', since I don't have a garage, but it parks in a safe place.
