Hi,
Can we maybe start a list of old school mechanics which knows their way around V8s, per province or area? Or is the info readily available?
I'll need to get my Dodge 383 looked at and I'm also considering getting a 4-barrel, intake, branches and cams upgrade, who in JHB can I trust with that?

Would be great to have such a list on the forum, I too, have been pondering on who the fundis are with setting old carburetors, side-draughts.
I know there are a few experts on the forum, true mechanics, and not just new parts fitters, maybe you guys can list your contact details and specialty?

In Durban there is only 3 shops I'd take my cars too:
Greg & Brad at Speedway
Mark at Mark 1 Auto
Royce Munnery at Royces Rod Shop....
But I'd also use all 3 for different tasks!
Suspension geometry nobody will touch Greg, Gearboxes and Fuel injection,Mark by far, and bling bits like fitting a Ididit chrome steering column Royce....

Anyone tried the well known George Cummings for V8 engine rebuilds here in KZN...I'm thinking of taking my motor there for settings & start-up on his test bench when its ready?

Willie Nel, is he in the Northern Suburbs, here where we live behind the boereworsgordyn?
Secondly, does he work from home?
Thanks
