Car Paint - Boksburg or JHB

Post by BMBS-F100-1968 » Tue 16 Dec 2014, 09:47

Hi All,

Like you know I want to paint my car myself! (Just Call me Gambler) :P

Now the question is to get some good quality paint ‘Primer, base coats and then finals”! 8O

So I have hear some paint guys don’t give you good quality paint and then the car looks like crap when you are done! Will not be happy!

Can the group please point me in the right direction?

Don't use cheap primer and then expensive finish try get decent paint from base to clear , work out a budget and figure from there , also depends on the colour if it's metallic or just single deep colour ... Figure out a budget , choose a finish, choose a colour and go from there ....

Hi jlebenon,

I see you are in Primrose that is close to me?

Are you working on car full time or this also just a hobby?

I would like to come and have a chat to you and see what you do to cars?

Where in the East Rand to you get your paint from?

I am also willing to up a hand in to learn more on painting of cars!

Cheers,

Ben

Try and avoid ALL Luxor products, you get what you pay for! The Luxor of today is not like it was a couple of years ago!
